About the Court

The Clark County Municipal Court has jurisdiction over all misdemeanor criminal cases, civil cases with a total claim under $15,000, small claims, actions in forcible entry and detainer, replevin and trustee cases originating in Clark County, Ohio. The Court has 3 full time judges, one full time magistrate and one part time magistrate. It is the role of the judge to preside over jury trials. Judges and magistrates can hear court trials, arraign new cases and hear pretrial conferences. The judges and magistrates are obligated to remain impartial and to decide cases consistent with the laws and Constitution of the State of Ohio and the laws and Constitution of the United States of America.
